Strips of steak – I buy already pre-cut to make things easier ***Buy grass fed beef if possible

Coconut oil – for pan frying

Leeks, chopped

Cloves, ground

Sea salt or Himalayan salt

Black pepper (optional – omit for strict AIP)

  1. Heat enough coconut oil in a large skillet to coat the bottom of the pan. Place steak strips in pan so that they are spread out and in a single layer.
  2. Sprinkle a generous amount of ground cloves and rosemary onto the strips. Then do a dash of salt and black pepper if desired.
  3. Put a lid on it and cook to desired doneness, flipping the strips once about halfway through. After flipping the strips, I usually repeat the seasonings (ground cloves, rosemary, salt, and black pepper) on the bottom side as well 😉 Add the leeks by sprinkling them in when the steak is about 90% done. The leeks simply burn if added too soon.
  4. Enjoy!
